The school builds a positive community with strong social and emotional learning for students. With a vision to nurture students and develop them into successful and complete individuals we have developed a comprehensive School Mental Health Programme in collaboration with Teachers, Family members, students and Mental Health professionals, Dr. Amit Sen , an eminent Psychiatrist and Dr. Shelja Sen, a clinical Psychologist.

The School Mental Health Programme has stages for planned intervention in key areas such as peer realationships, conflict resolution, depression, sense of betrayal, insecurity, loneliness, boredom, defiance.
As a part of the Mental Health Project the various activities designed for different age groups are as follows:
Primary                                  -           Name Sake      (research, write poems)
                                                -           Virtues             (discussion, enactement)
                                                -           Thinking Skills            (play a game, develop creativity)

Life Skills Programme:-

Ensures children receive learning that helps them to be happy, responsible, healthy and productive citizens. The effective and appropriate utilization of life skills can influence the way one feels about oneself and others and can enhance one’s productivity, efficacy, self-esteem, self confidence. Be positive, make the right choices and value yourself and others.

AWARENESS AND PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Under the guidance of United Nation Office on Drugs & Crime, our teachers have been trained for creating awareness among students regarding substance abuse and dependence. Sessions for classes
VI – XII were conducted in the Zero period. Ability to say No, chasing alternatives, differentiating right/ wrong.

OUTREACHPROGRAMME

Bloom actively participates in various outreach programmes. These programmes help us sensitize children to the deprived and specially abled in society. We are associated with SOS, Help age India. Our students have contributed for “Eye Surgery’ of blind children
