  The school is associated with S.P.A.C.E (science popularization association of communicators and educators)for its astronomy activity for students from class VI -VIII  
     
  S.P.A.C.E. -a society registered under Indian society registration act , is a team of astronomer, science communicators and educators. The society is training thousands of students as Amateur astronomers in various renowned schools across India affiliated to state ,central and foreign boards.  
     
 

CLUB ACTIVITIES - .

  • Sky observation, computer astronomy, telescope making, asteroid hunt and astro -photography.
  • designing and making of various astronomy equipment and models like sun dial ,latitude finder etc.
  • visits to the planetarium/observatories.
  • participation in various astronomy projects in association with national ,international organizations.
  • competitions on astronomy at state, national /international astronomers/scientists. .interactive multimedia sessions.
  • Career counseling on astronomy and space sciences.
 
     
     
  PARENTS PARTICIPATION- parents can also enjoy and learn by actively participating in the evening sky observations/camps to be conducted from the school premises.  
     
 

CERTIFICATION -

Each club member on successful completion of the Programme is awarded certificate for Amateur Astronomer.

 
     
 

AN ASTRO KIT FOR EACH CLUB MEMBER TO BE PROVIDED BY S.P.A.C.E -

Astrokit is an indigenously designed educational tool kit that helps the students to learn the sessions with a hand on experience. The sessions of the club revolve around the kit. The kit material varies according to the Programme. Astro kit contains : Astrophotography mount, Monthly star maps; Messier object booklet, Sun Card, 3D Images CD with 3D Glasses, Advanced Astronomy Software CD, Astronomy Observer's Log Book, special Astrophotography filmstrip, Photography log sheets, Astro photograph CD(taken by clubmembers), Astronomy News Letter and handouts.
